The YCU operates a shelter that provides a safe and healthy environment for those who are going through a crisis period.  

The word "shelter" tends to conjure up images of large cold rooms filled with cots and people. The shelter at the YCU provides fully furnished rooms in an apartment-like layout which allows clients to cook their own meals, sleep in their own rooms, and live in a comfortable setting.
